Practical training seminar: Exposing Body´s Deep Consciousness. The impact of Prenatal Experiences.
You are invited to a practical body seminar that we have repeatedly conducted in Estonia with Yakir Elkayam.
Who is the seminar for:
This seminar is for everyone attending for the first time, those looking to enhance their therapeutic skills, wanting to review the material, and discover what has changed since they last worked on prenatal topics in the body.
The seminar is also interesting for constellators as it includes practices created according to many systemic principles. Additionally, through personal experience, you will learn how important it is to know the details of prenatal time to better navigate constellations when these topics arise. The seminar is strongly focused on bodywork, deeply therapeutic, offering theoretical knowledge of intrauterine anatomy, fetal development, and mother-fetus biology.
Book Recommendation
We recommend reading the book “In utero I” by Sandra Ramos and Jorge A. Ramos (https://www.amazon.com/UTERO-Intrauterine-Psychodynamics-ISP-Idealized-Projection/dp/B0BN4WPYYV) as a supplement. The authors have conducted 20 years of research on the same topic. They have studied numerous scientific studies, articles, and discoveries worldwide (a comprehensive list is provided at the end of the book). Scientific research findings were also confirmed through the constellation method.
Introduction:
In this seminar, we will guide you through the different levels of body consciousness. These are very subtle levels that can be noticed using specific whole-body engaging practices. Therefore, the facilitators have developed and created special exercises, combining several methods.
Seminar Objective:
The objective of the seminar is to focus on the deeply ingrained, subtle subconscious impulses and structures in our bodies. Although they are subtle, they form a definite structure of how we perceive and use the body, how we sense and respond. To bring into consciousness the developed perception structure, which makes us feel or signals us to move physically, it is necessary to unlock deep body consciousness.
When we are aware, we are able to take steps towards healing and change. All of this is to be more whole, relaxed, and capable of working with oneself on all levels.
Inner Body Impulses:
As the body develops, so does its structure. Creating pathways that guide us subconsciously. For example, why do we feel like clenching our teeth tightly without noticing it? Or why do we sit as we usually do? Because we have habits that guide us to do so.
Not all impulses we experience come from within us. When we develop in the womb, we have no concept of another person or that there is anything beyond “me”. In fact, we perceive ourselves as completely different shapes and forms, and this experience is also stored in us. Very early on, we adopt foreign feelings, beliefs, and emotions, which we begin to express through gestures, movements, and senses, that is, through our bodies. Since all this happens during our earliest existence, we “get used” to it and take it as “this is me,” because it has “always” been with me. And so we grow.
What is done in the seminar:
In the workshop, the focus is on experiencing body awareness and sensations. Practices are designed to gradually take you to the original consciousness related to the time in the womb. We approach the level of consciousness where there are no words, and the language felt is the body and its movements. Throughout the workshop, individual and group exercises are conducted, creating space to feel the changes taking place.
Seminar Facilitators:
The seminar is organized and guided by Yakir Elkayam from Israel and Jaana Saar from Estonia. Both are experienced therapists with 12 years of practice and experience. They met at Yakir’s workshop in Estonia and since the topics encompassed different ends of the same interests, it began to form a new direction. Over four years, they have guided several projects together in Estonia. They have developed their work style, combining different methods – body psychotherapy, systemic approach, bodywork, psychotherapy, Feldenkrais method, and mindfulness.
Seminar Dress Code and What to Bring:
- Please come in very comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and sense every subtle impulse of the body.
- We recommend leaving behind jewelry, belts, and clothes with buttons, straps, or strong protruding details.
